Founded August 27, 1993, Cascade Warbirds is the largest chapter of EAA Warbirds of America — Warbird Squadron 2.
Our Missions
“It is the goal of Cascade Warbirds to promote the restoration, preservation, operation and public display of historically significant military aircraft; to acquire and perpetuate the living history of those who served their country on these aircraft; and to inspire today’s young people to become the aviation pioneers of tomorrow.”
Airshows
Cascade Warbirds members who own military-pedigree aircraft fly and ground display their machines in air shows across the Pacific Northwest. Other members volunteer to manage veterans outreach, marshal aircraft, staff merchandising kiosks, and provide guest and performer hospitality services.
Veterans
Cascade Warbirds maintains an active veterans outreach program, bridging the gap between citizens and our nation’s warriors. We support the attendance of veterans at regional air shows, promote our veterans through public affairs with local news agencies, and host informative and entertaining talks by veterans at squadron meetings.
Youth
Cascade Warbirds hosts an annual scholarship contest to teach the next generation to fly. Aspiring aviators ages 16-21 may apply to win a private pilot ground school and their first two instructional flights, taught through our Seattle-based flight school partner.
